About Neon Minesweeper
Minesweeper is a logic puzzle: almost every board can be solved by careful reading of the numbers rather than guessing. That is what makes it so rewarding — each flag you place is a small deduction.
Neon Minesweeper uses the classic beginner size, so a game takes one to four minutes. Tap a number whose mines are all flagged to open its neighbours in one go, and you will clear boards much faster. Every safe square you open adds to your score, and a quick win earns a time bonus.
How to play Neon Minesweeper
- Tap or click a square to open it.
- Long-press on a touch screen, or right-click with a mouse, to place a flag where you think a mine is.
- On a keyboard, move with the arrow keys.
Rules
- The field is 9×9 with 10 hidden mines.
- A number shows how many mines touch that square, including diagonals.
- An empty square opens all of its neighbours automatically.
- Open every safe square to win. Open a mine and the game is over.
- Faster clears score more.
Tips to win
- A “1” touching only one closed square means that square is a mine — flag it.
- If a number already has all its mines flagged, every other neighbour is safe.
- Start from the corners and edges of open areas, where the numbers give the most information.
