About Neon 2048
2048 became a worldwide hit because it is easy to learn and very hard to stop playing. Every move matters: one careless swipe can pull your biggest tile out of its corner and fill the board.
Neon 2048 uses the classic 4×4 board and the original scoring, with smooth sliding animations and a dark neon look that is easy on the eyes. Try to beat your own best score, then aim for the 2048 tile.
How to play Neon 2048
- Swipe up, down, left or right on a touch screen. On a computer, use the arrow keys.
- Every move slides all tiles as far as they can go in that direction.
- After each move a new tile (2 or 4) appears in an empty space.
Rules
- Two tiles with the same number merge into one when they touch: 2 + 2 = 4, 4 + 4 = 8, and so on.
- Each merge adds the new tile’s value to your score.
- Reach the 2048 tile to win.
- The game ends when the board is full and no move can merge any tiles.
Tips to win
- Keep your biggest tile in one corner and build around it.
- Use mostly two or three directions and avoid the one that pulls your big tile out of its corner.
- Merge small tiles early so the board does not fill up.
