How to play Neon 8-Ball Pool

1. Aim by moving or dragging on the table — a guide line shows where the cue ball will travel.
2. Set your power with the power bar, then release to shoot. On a keyboard, use ← and → to aim (hold Shift for fine aim), ↑ and ↓ for power, and Space or Enter to shoot.
3. When you have ball in hand, drag the cue ball (or use W A S D) to any spot you like before you shoot.

Rules

• The table is open after the break. The first player to legally pot a ball claims that group: solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15).
• Pot one of your own balls and you shoot again. Miss, and the turn passes to your opponent.
• A foul gives your opponent ball in hand anywhere on the table. Fouls are: potting the cue ball (a scratch), hitting no ball, hitting the wrong group first, or no ball reaching a cushion after contact.
• Clear your group, then pot the 8-ball to win. Pot the 8 too early, or on a foul, and you lose the frame. An 8 potted on the break is put back on its spot.

Tips to win

• Play softer shots to keep the cue ball in the middle of the table.
• If you have no easy pot, leave the cue ball tight against a cushion to make your rival’s next shot hard.
