Breakout is the arcade game that made brick-breaking famous, and it is still one of the most satisfying games to play in a short break. The goal is simple — break every brick — but the ball gets harder to control as the wall opens up.

In Neon Breakout, bricks in the top rows are worth the most points, so aim high. Clear both levels without losing all three lives and you win the game.

How to play Neon Breakout

1. Move the paddle by dragging on a touch screen or moving the mouse. On a keyboard, use ← and →.
2. Tap, click or press Space to launch the ball, then bounce it back up every time it falls toward you.
3. Each brick breaks when the ball hits it.

Rules

• The wall has 6 rows of 9 bricks.
• Clear every brick to finish a level. There are 2 levels.
• You have 3 lives. Miss the ball and you lose one; lose all three and the game ends.
• Breaking bricks adds to your score.

Tips to win

• Hit the ball with the edge of the paddle to change its angle.
• Break through one side of the wall — once the ball is behind the bricks, it clears them for you.
